Greg Redner is the Head Director of Bands at Patricia E. Paetow High School in Katy, TX. Prior to his teaching position at Paetow High School, Redner worked for 2 years as an Assistant Director of Bands at Morton Ranch High School in Katy, TX and spent six years as Head Band Director at Waukesha North High School in Waukesha, WI. In his time in Waukesha the Waukesha North Bands participated in the 2010 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, competed at BOA Grand Nationals and won six consecutive Wisconsin State Marching Band Championships. Redner has and in depth experience utilizing technology in a 1:1 classroom and has been invited to present at the Wisconsin Music Educators Association Convention, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, the Texas Music Educator's Association Convention on the topic of technology integration in the music classroom.
Redner has been in and around the marching activity for over 16 years as a marching member and instructor. Redner received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 2004 where he studied trumpet under Dr. Frank Hanson.
Kevin Thompson

Kevin Thompson is the Associate Director of Bands at Paetow High School in the Katy Independent School District. Originally from Westlake Village California, he moved to Texas in 2010. He received his Bachelors in Music Education from the University of North Texas, studying with Professor Dennis Fisher, Dr. Nicholas Williams, Dr. Darhyl Ramsey, and more during his time at the University of North Texas.
During his summers, Mr. Thompson serves on the instructional staff for the SASi Drum Major and Leadership camps, working with hundreds of Drum Majors and Student Leaders across Texas.Mr. Thompson’s professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, North American Saxophone Alliance, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Adara Joiner
Director of Color Guard

Adara Joiner is the Color Guard Director at Patricia E. Paetow High School in Katy, TX. Following her graduation from Klein Oak High School, Joiner studied at Sam Houston State University for a B.S. in Health Care Administration and a minor in Dance.
Prior to her time at Paetow High School, Joiner worked for as an Assistant Color Guard Director at Cypress Park High School in Cypress, TX and Willis High School in Willis, TX. She is concurrently a technician at Friendswood HS who made A Class finals at WGI in 2022 and Open Class finals in 2023. Joiner has also served as a technician at Klein Oak HS and Tomball HS and a guest choreographer at Elkins HS, Pearland HS, Pasadena Memorial HS and more throughout Southeast Texas.
Joiner has competed in the Scholastic A and Scholastic Open classes in which she has obtained a gold medal and made Open Class finals in the annual Winter Guard International championships, respectively. Following high school, Ms. Joiner has performed with independent winter guard Undaunted Open for 3 seasons and made world class finals with Origins World. She has also marched with World Class Drum Corps, Phantom Regiment, serving as captain in one of two years of membership.
